Polished Concrete Process

A polished concrete floor is a concrete floor that has been diamond ground and then treated with a chemical densifier before progressively polishing with finer diamond polishing tools. The diamond grinding tools are usually sequenced in grit levels of diamonds and polishing pads which are specifically designed for polishing concrete. Typically, concrete is not considered polished before 400 grit, also known as honed concrete; polished concrete is normally finished to either the 800, 1500, or 3000 grit level depending on the shine and reflection specified.

In simple terms, the process of concrete polishing is similar to polishing raw marble/granite, utilizing professional heavy-duty grinding equipment or machines with metal or resin-bonded diamond tools to a smooth and blemish-free surface.

What We Don't Do!

With the use of our Professional equipments, we progressively grind and hone your concrete floor to achieve the desired smoothness and polish. Just like when we smoothen wood, we use different progressive grits of sand paper until we get the desired smoothness.

We also just DON'T apply clear top coats such as emulsion on the concrete floor, which peels or wears off under heavy human traffic much more with vehicular traffic. (forklifts and cars)

STRENGTHENING OF FLOOR SURFACE

DURABILIY

Vaztech liquid lithium hardeners and densifiers will outlast that of topcoats. A permanent impregnation of the floor surface can be achieved for life of the concrete with one single application.

ELIMINATION OF DUSTING FROM EFFLORESCENCE

In ordinary concrete, tiny particles of dust are pushed to the surface through an upward force called hydrostatic pressure, resulting in efflorescence. Efflorescence leads to dusting. Liquid lithium hardeners products eliminate efflorescence and prevent dusting.

Stain Resistant

Be densifying and sealing the surface, Vaztech liquid lithium hardeners and densifiers transform a porous concrete floor into a tightened floor that is dense enough to repel water oil, and other contaminants, preventing them from penetrating the surface.

IMPROVED CONDITION FOR OLD FLOORS

As concrete ages, surface stress, delamination, curled cold joints, and other problems can arise. Vaztech liquid lithium hardeners and densifiersm combined with our customized grinding and polishing technique, can remove the top surface layer of old concrete and strengthen the floor, increasing its impact and abrasion resistance.

REDUCED TIRE WEAR

The rough, uneven texture of natural concrete causes tires to abrade, adding to their wear. A concrete floor treated with Vaztech's liquid lithium hardener and densifier systems will make the entire surface smooth, preventing this abrasion and leaving minimum tire marks on the floor surface. Ordinary cleaning can easily remove such blemishes.

SLIP RESISTANT

Treated floor surfaces, though shiny, do not create slippery floors.
